"The
Man Who Came to Dinner"

(a co-production with Mendocino College)
Written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman
Directed by David Hance
A classic American comedy that opened in 1939
and ran for 739 performances on Broadway
and was made into a major motion picture.
This hilariously witty satire follows the story of Sheridan
Whiteside, an insufferably arrogant radio personality, who
falls and breaks his hip while on his way to dinner at a
suburban family's home. Then the unwelcome, barbed-tongued
guest stays on in their abode while he recovers. And, along
with an offbeat cast of characters who come to visit him,
he proceeds to drive his hosts round the bend!
The 28 characters in this classic American comedy are played
by 14 local actors: Angeline Johnson, Bob Axt, Brittani
Ray, Doug Hundley, Erin Gragson, Evangeline Crawford, Harvey
Baumoel, Karen Adair, Keith Aisner, Melissa Wood, Nathan
Bell, Rose Bell, Sara Lytle, and Tyler Soberanis. Gilly
Platt is the stage manager.
Mix a little romance with the comedy, and we've got frothy
perfection.
